We are pleased to announce an evidence-based nursing conference planned for Wednesday, April 27th 2015 at the Dugan Conference Center of Newman University in Wichita, KS from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm hosted by the Epsilon Gamma (of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing) and SouthCentral Kansas Nurse Educators. Registration will cover continental breakfast, lunch, snacks, beverages, and continuing education credits for eligible RNs and LPNs.
The theme for the 2016 Evidence-Based Nursing Conference is “Nurses as Lifelong Learners: From Classroom to Bedside.”
We envision that this evidence-based nursing conference will become an annual event in support of Wichita-area nurses and the patients we serve. This conference will provide an educational forum for updating nursing knowledge about local initiatives, best practices, and creative approaches supported by evidence.
Currently, we are calling for submissions for poster or oral presentations. Click here to learn more.
All nurses and nursing students are invited to attend and participate fully in this community event, regardless of practice area or educational level. Click here to register.
Membership in the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing is not required to participate. We strongly encourage you and your colleagues to submit an abstract and showcase your work. Click here to learn more about Epsilon Gamma of Sigma Theta Tau International.
All submissions received by February 1, 2016 will undergo a “blind” review process after your abstract is de-identified and assigned a number. Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by March 1, 2015. Those accepted for oral presentations will receive a 50% discount onregistration fees. Continuing education hours for RNs will be available and sponsored by Via Christi. Please see flyer and FAQ page for additional information.
Save the date and plan to join us, meet new people, and perhaps catch up with old friends. See you there!
